Art by me

Hello and welcome to my website!

Here you will find my art and dive into my world.

I am a 15 year old French artist, working mostly with digital and traditionnal art. I am currently a hobbyist but I hope to pursue art studies in the near future, and turn my hobby into my job. I am interested in all forms of art, especially animation, character design and cinema.

My art focuses mostly on animal drawings, creature designs and cartoons.

2D Animation:

Murder Room

Lately, I've been interested in two things: light in art and detective stories (okay, mostly BBC Sherlock). So I thought: why not try to combine them?

I have a pretty clear childhood memory of sleeping at my aunt's, in a room near a busy street. When a car would pass by, I would see the headlights through the window, and the light would illuminate the room before fading out. This animation is inspired from that.

Also, if you are being observant, you will notice the small note saying "Miss Me?" tied to the knife. That's a Sherlock reference. I couldn't resist.

I animated everything with Paint Tool SAI and Sony Vegas Pro.

Comic:

Time to get social

This is, I think, the best example of how much time and effort I can spend on a school task as soon as it is involving art.

Originally, this was a task in Spanish class. We had to create a short comic involving new technologies (yes, there is a spanish version of this comic). The teacher told us to use a website where we could create a comic without drawing. But of course I couldn't resist the need to draw something by myself, and so I spent an entire weekend working on this. And also I added anthropomorphic characters, because why not?

Stop Motion Animation:

Off to Time and Space

This is the very first stop motion animation I ever did, even though I had wanted to try it for some time. So in order to create this, I used my My Little Pony toys and a cardboard cutout of the TARDIS from Doctor Who. I placed them in front of a lamp, and I made it so that the shadows cast by the objects were reflected on a piece of paper attached to my wall. Then I took pictures of the shadows like a classic stop motion animation and edited everything with Sony Vegas pro.

Oh, and the animation represents the TARDIS  appearing outside Twilight's library (wich is a tree), and Twilight running to reunite with the Doctor and explore Time and Space with him (it is supposed to be the 10th Doctor).

Collab:

Sunburst's Winter

This is a recent collab I did with the awesome Ilynalta. I sketched Sunburst from My Little Pony, and she colored it digitaly with Krita. As always with her, the result is awesome. I love the way our styles combine together.

And here is the sketch before Ilynalta colored it:

Collab (WIP):

The forest

I made this sketch for a collab with the amazingly talented EmbersLament. Just like we did in 2017, she will color my sketch traditionally, and then when she goes to BABScon 2019, she will get it signed by Sunset Shimmer's voice actress, Rebecca Soichet. Finally, she will present it at the Con's auction sale, and all the money collected will go to charity. Isn't that great? I can't wait to see what she will create with this sketch.

Here you can see my sketching process: first I drew a few thumbnails of different ideas, then EmbersLament picked one and I did a bigger sketch on paper. Finally, I drew a final refined sketch digitally.

Poster concept:

Trapped (escape game)

Since the begining of the school year, my class and I have been working on a big project: creating an escape game, all by ourselves. Of course, I volounteered to work on the poster that will be used to advertise our escape game all around the hightschool. The design and the catchphrase are inspired by the poster for the first "Alien" movie. Since our escape game involves Area 51, I used a picture for the bottom part and the red sphere is all digital painting.

It was a really fun project to work on.
